leadership Retreat In Bali
About my Brain Institute | 2024

This retreat was a five-day immersive leadership experience held in Ubud, Bali, bringing together participants from across Australia, Asia, Europe, South America and South Africa. The program combined leadership development, experiential learning, wellbeing and cultural immersion, using the environment, local culture and shared experiences as an integral part of the learning.
I led the planning and production of the retreat, from venue procurement, budgeting and marketing through to suppliers, participant logistics and on-site delivery. Having lived in Bali for five months during the development of the retreat, I also built relationships with local practitioners and community members, bringing Balinese perspectives and practices into the program through experiences with local sound healers, yoga teachers and Balinese priests.
My role covered the strategy, experience design and end-to-end production of the retreat, including:
Retreat Strategy & Production:
Led the planning and delivery of the five-day international retreat, bringing together the learning program, cultural experiences, participant journey and operational requirements into a cohesive experience.
Venue & Logistics:
Researched, selected and procured the retreat venue, working closely with the local venue team to coordinate accommodation, program spaces, catering, participant requirements and on-site logistics.
Budget & Suppliers:
Managed the retreat budget and coordinated local suppliers, practitioners and service providers across the program.
Experience & Program Design:
Designed the participant experience around facilitated learning, creative and reflective activities, movement, meditation, nature and shared experiences, using the retreat environment as an active part of the program.
Local Partnerships & Cultural Programming:
Built relationships with local practitioners during five months living in Bali and worked with sound healers, yoga teachers, Balinese priests and other local contributors to create cultural experiences specifically for the retreat.
Marketing & Participant Communications:
Led marketing and communications for the retreat, from promotion and participant information through to pre-arrival preparation and ongoing communications.
On-Site Delivery:
Managed the retreat on the ground in collaboration with the venue team and local providers, coordinating the daily program, facilitators, suppliers, participant needs and changes as they arose.
Facilitation & Cultural Experiences:
Co-facilitated experiential activities, meditation and sound healing journeys alongside the retreat’s leadership facilitator and local practitioners, drawing on my own practice in yoga, sound healing and Akashic Records. Together, we integrated leadership development, reflective practices and cultural experiences throughout the retreat.
