About the Documentary
Make Me A Leader is an 8-time international award-winning documentary that delves into the science of how leaders can optimise both brain and body performance to excel in the challenges of the 21st century.
Design & production process
As a core member of the creative team, I led the branding and design strategy, ensuring a cohesive visual identity that aligned seamlessly with the documentary’s mission. My role involved developing a compelling aesthetic that reinforced the film’s themes while maintaining clarity and engagement across various platforms.
A significant aspect of the design process was art directing a team of 3D animators to create dynamic visual elements that enhanced the storytelling. This required close collaboration to conceptualise, refine, and integrate motion graphics that visually represented the neuroscience and leadership concepts explored in the documentary. Through iterative design reviews and adjustments, we ensured that the animations elevated the audience’s understanding of complex ideas in an engaging and accessible way. See video interview with the director on the making of the film below.
Beyond animation, I played an integral role in the videography and editing process, helping shape the documentary’s narrative flow and visual cohesion. Working alongside the production team, I contributed to key decisions regarding pacing, framing, and post-production effects, ensuring that each scene effectively communicated the documentary’s core message.
Additionally, I took on a strategic project management role, overseeing the marketing strategy and coordination for the Cinematic Event Launch. From campaign development and promotional materials to logistical execution, I managed every stage of the event to maximise impact. This involved designing digital and print assets, organising screenings, and curating an experience that would resonate with audiences. The event successfully showcased the documentary’s influence, strengthening its presence in both global film and leadership communities (see showreel below).
This multi-faceted approach, blending design, storytelling and strategic execution, played a crucial role in the documentary’s success, ensuring that its message was not only seen but deeply felt by audiences worldwide.
