About the Documentary
Make Me A Leader is an eight-time international award-winning documentary exploring how neuroscience can help leaders optimise brain and body performance to meet the challenges of the 21st century. Featuring scientists, leadership experts and business leaders from around the world, the film translates complex research into an accessible story about leadership and human performance.
creative direction & production
As Creative Director and Producer, I led a team of 20 across the development and production of the documentary, working closely with the director, filmmaker, designers, animators, editors and other creative contributors from concept through to release. I shaped the film’s creative direction and visual identity across cinematography, motion design, branding, marketing and supporting communications.
A significant part of the project involved finding ways to communicate complex neuroscience visually. I art directed the development of 3D animation sequences that brought concepts about the brain and human performance into the film, working with animators to translate scientific ideas into clear and engaging visual stories.
I also created a live industry brief with design students, giving them the opportunity to develop 3D animation concepts for the documentary. I guided the students through the creative process, with selected work contributing to the broader exploration and development of the film’s visual language.
Alongside the creative direction, I contributed to cinematography, editing and post-production, working with the production team on visual storytelling and narrative flow. I also led the creative strategy for the film’s release, including its brand, marketing campaign, promotional content and supporting audience experiences.
The result brought together film, design, animation and scientific communication to make complex ideas about leadership, neuroscience and human performance accessible to a wider audience.
