Art explorations
During my time in Madrid in early 2025, I had the opportunity to take watercolour classes with the talented and renowned artist Alex Barros. I’ve always been drawn to watercolour—the way it flows effortlessly on paper, allowing ideas to take shape in an organic and intuitive way. This project became an exploration of colour, shape and composition, but more than that, it was about letting go.
My goal was to loosen my creative approach, to embrace imperfection, and to break free from the structured thinking that often comes with design and strategy work. With watercolour, there’s no complete control—the pigments blend, spread, and surprise you, much like life itself. It became a meditative practice, a way to slow down, be present, and observe how a simple brushstroke could shift my perspective.
When we approach art this way it can open up a gateway to mindfulness, a space where intuition guides the hand, and play leads to unexpected beauty. Each painting was not just an experiment in form but also a reflection of my inner state—an invitation to see things differently, trust the unknown, and embrace the flow both on and beyond the paper.
